Berkshire is one of England's wealthiest counties, stretching from the M4 corridor commuter towns to the rural Lambourn Valley. Reading is the largest town with a mix of Victorian terraces near the station, modern apartments and family homes in Caversham and Tilehurst. Slough has a diverse housing stock with tight terraces near the town centre and larger homes in Wexham and Langley. Windsor has period properties near the castle with restricted parking and tourist traffic. Maidenhead and Wokingham are affluent commuter towns with larger homes. Bracknell is a New Town with grid-road estates. The M4, M3 and A329(M) all cross Berkshire, giving excellent road links to London and the West Country. Berkshire does not have a Clean Air Zone.
